The Steel City is the fully customized treatment system in the Three Rivers lineup, built three ways (exchange softener, air-injected filter or backwashing filter) with media selected for your specific water. It exists for the problems the standard lineup does not solve, and Three Rivers specifies each build from your free in-home water test results, across the Greater Pittsburgh area.

Three ways a Steel City is built
- Exchange Softener: Selected to handle dissolved contaminants and can be configured with media to target either positively or negatively charged ions.
- Air-Injected Filter: Compressed air chamber oxidizes dissolved contaminants for efficient removal. A specialized media (or a blend of medias) is chosen for your specific water treatment needs.
- Backwashing Filter: Absorbs unwanted chemicals, odors, and flavors from the water. Blended medias may be used to resolve multiple issues at one time.
