River to glass
Pittsburgh Water draws all of its drinking water from the Allegheny River, treats it, and disinfects it with free chlorine.
Mains that average about 80 years old carry it to your street. The last stretch, your service line and your plumbing, is the part no citywide chart can show.
The Champion pairs activated carbon, which reduces chlorine to improve smell and flavor, with softening resin that captures calcium and magnesium hardness minerals, for every tap at once.
The MVP adds pre- and post-carbon and a reverse osmosis membrane, effective down to the molecular level, with its own dedicated faucet.
The main systems
The Champion treats the whole home, The MVP purifies the water you drink, and The Infinity keeps soft water coming around the clock. A free test tells us which, if any, your home needs.
Softening and filtration in one tank
A powerful softener with integrated carbon filtration in one tank: softer, better-tasting water throughout the entire home. Two sizes available.

EWG Tap Water Database: for Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority, EWG lists 19 contaminants detected in 2014–2024 data, 11 of them above EWG's health guidelines, led by disinfection byproducts such as total trihalomethanes (52.3 ppb, against an EWG guideline of 0.15 ppb and a federal limit of 80 ppb). EWG's guidelines are stricter than the law, and EWG reports the utility in compliance with federal standards for the latest quarter assessed. See all 11 · EWG source.

Meet the owner
I believe homeowners deserve to know what they're buying, understand the value of their investment, and feel confident in the people they invite into their homes.
Questions
Common signs of hard water include white or chalky scale buildup on faucets and showerheads, spots on glasses and dishes after washing, soap that does not lather well, stiff or faded laundry, dry skin and hair, and crusty deposits inside kettles and water-using appliances. A free in-home water test can confirm how hard your water is.
A water softener removes the calcium and magnesium minerals that make water hard, which stops scale and gives you better lather and spot-free rinsing from truly soft water. A salt-free scale inhibitor does not remove those minerals; it conditions them so they are far less likely to stick to pipes and appliances as scale. Inhibitors use no salt and no electricity, while softeners provide complete hardness removal.
Schedule a visit and we come to your home in the Greater Pittsburgh area, test your water on the spot, and explain the results in plain language. The test checks the factors that decide which system fits your home, such as hardness. You get an honest recommendation based on your actual water, with no obligation to buy.
